Alex Gackle
Hi I'm Alex! I am daily inspired by my clients and the bravery it takes to lean in to your story and who you are made to be. I am just as human as you are and have my own story to tell. So, I invite you to get to know me and learn more about who I am and why I am so passionate about my work.
My Story
When I was a kid, I remember laying in the grass, looking up at the sky, and wondering. Wondering about what it must be like to be that high in the air, what it would be like if I were a willow tree, wondering about myself, and wondering about the world. That curiosity has never really left me. It has stayed with me and it is what drew me to counseling. I have always been curious about people, the way we are wired, and why we do what we do. There has always been a tug at my heart to tend to the wounds of hurting souls.

It wasn't until my heart was broken that I realized this whole thing was about me too. I realized there was more. It was like love came chasing after me and my story too. Suddenly, healing meant something different to me. It wasn't just about taking care of other people because it was "good" or a passion of mine. Healing became a way of being and a path it seemed I couldn't jump off of (even if I tried). It became a journey that I said 'yes' to that has taken me to the greatest depths and the most beautiful heights. Love is in fact the most beautiful thing I have witnessed and it is a delight to share in the beauty that can be found in pain. Most often, the beauty is already within you waiting to be seen. This is my why.

So, I moved to Arkansas to go to college and the rest is history! Just kidding, I went to school for years in between that, met my husband, got a golden retriever, got some scars, made some incredible friends, and now here I am! Still growing, still healing, still changing. Because......life...ya know?
